Tangential cutting module TCM-4 - Accurate results by sophisticated technology

The TCM-4 is a processing unit for CNC-machines to cut various materials such as foils and flocking materials. It is a precise quality product made in Germany developed and produced by ECOCAM. Since the blade is rotated by an actuator in each direction of cutting, even small contours and writings are processed accurately and quickly. The pressing force of the gliding shoe can be adjusted sensitively.

To ensure best quality and highest precision, the development and production of all mechanical and electronic components are made by ECOCAM. Accessories and spare parts are generally available from stock. Since our modules have an open interface, they can easily be combined with systems from different machine manufacturers.

General construction:

• Pressing force can be adjusted sensitively; cutting depth can be adjusted continuously

• Opto-electronic, contactless detection of the blade´s reference position
  
  
• Attachable to systems from various machine manufacturers due to easy mechanical connection
  with 2 options:
  
  - 43mm-clamp collar on the bottom of the body
  - M4 threads (6 pcs.) on the backside of the body 43mm-clamp collar

Setting the pressing force:

• The pressing force of the gliding element can be adjusted sensitively by a latching adjustment wheel.
  An indicator visualizes the selected value.

• Spring sets with different tension forces are availabe to realize a wide variety of cutting applications.

Setting the cutting depth:

• The cutting depth can be adjusted precisely if the gliding element is mounted.

• The cutting depth increases 1.0mm per revolution.
  In practice it´s possible to adjust the depth in increments of 0.05 - 0,1mm.

Electronic specifications:

• The internal electronic system is equipped with a reverse polarity protection and with an optical display for the working status.
  
  
• The module includes an internal voltage regulator and stabilizer.
  It´s possible to supply the internal electronics within a range of 6 - 24VDC.
  
  
• An internal signal amplifier generates a clearly defined digital signal for the reference position of the tangential axis.
  The diagram shows the signal of a turning system captured by an oscilloscope.

Different gliding elements for various applications:

The gliding element of the TCM module can be changed for different application needs.
Gliding elements with thread diameters from 13mm to 30mm are available:

• G13: thread diameter 13mm (Art. 250011) to be used with locking device Art. 250013
  
  
• G20: thread diameter 20mm (Art. 250010) to be used with locking device Art. 250013
  
  
• G30: thread diameter 30mm (Art. 250012) to be used with locking device Art. 250014
  

Spring sets for different applications:

We offer several spring sets with different pressing forces for many cutting applications.

• S05 = pressing force approx. 5N / 500g (Art. 250020)
  
  
• S10 = pressing force approx. 10N / 1.000g (Art. 250021)
  
  
• S18 = pressing force approx. 18N / 1.800g (Art. 250022)
  
  
• S28 = pressing force approx. 28N / 2.800g (Art. 250023)
  

The type of the spring set determines the coarse adjustment of the pressing force.
The fine adjustment will be done by a wheel that changes the pre-load of the springs.

Different solid carbide blades with a shank diameter of 6mm and a Weldon surface are available for various cutting applications.
